Brothers {Layout Share} & a SNEAK PEEK

Hey Everyone!!

I hope you all are having a splendid day thus far. Well, it's still cold here and it's a week shy of April. It sure does seem that ol' man winter is having a major came of PMS! He sure needs to go into hibernation! Anywho... Spring may pay a visit soon, hopefully, but until then I've been able to get a couple of layouts done. It's been lovely being able to get some scrappy time in.

Aside from just the layout, I have a little sneak peek for you all. As some of you may know, Bella Creationz is having a NEW RELEASE PARTY on Tuesday, April 1. You def do NOT want to miss out on it. So much fun, fab projects AND an amazing new stamp set. And, I have a little peek of the new stamp set, as I used it on this layout. It's SO much fun and you're def going to love it, so be sure to head on over to the OH SNAP New Release Party event page so you can join us for all the fun on Tuesday!!

Ok... ok... let's get on the the layout, right?!

So, I've had this photo sitting on my little ledge where I keep the photos I want to scrap right away, and well this is one of my FAVORITE photos of my two boys. The days when they actually got along and enjoyed each other, instead of having the daily teenager fights.

I just really LOVE how this layout came together; all the layers and the simple embellies make this entire layout, in my opinion. I love this kit by Echo Park and it fit the colors in the photo perfectly. I initially wanted to mat my photo on corrugated cardboard from an old box, but it really just didn't fit, so I just took a kraft bag from Bella Creationz and ran it through my Fiskar's crimper. It gave me the look I was looking for. I also used the other end of that bag and punched out the strip of stars, and used the positive pieces of stars as an embellishment. I also took some of the scraps of the paper I pulled off the cardboard box to get to the corrugated part of the box. I love the texture this adds to the layout and goes so well with the faux corrugated bag. I'm as much in love with this layout, as I am with that photo!!

For this layout I used the following products:

Paper - Echo Park Brothers Collection
Embellishments - Echo Park Brothers Collection
Banner and Kraft Bag - Bella Creationz
White Gel Pen
Black Zig Marker

Thanks so much for stopping by today to take a peek at my layout. I hope you all have a scrap happy day!

Hugs,

Kristy

Optic White - Influenster

Optic White Vox Box

So, I recently joined Influenster and love it! I received my first Influenster box, which was the Optic White box. LOVE it! If you're one for the whole teeth whitening thing, then this is a must! It's so easy and simple! So simple that even my 16 year old can use it without a problem!

You brush as normal and then you take the whitening pen and "color" your teeth with this. It's so much easier than applying those strips, waiting, and then having to take them off again. With the Optic White pen, you just brush, apply and go. And... the best part yet... there isn't a funny or funky taste at all!

My son has been using this product for the last 2 weeks, and I can vastly see a huge difference. As long as you are diligent in brushing with your Optic White toothbrush and whitener everyday, you are going to see amazing results.

I honestly love this product and will be buying a few more for my other family members, and what I love the most about it is, that my teenagers can use it too and I feel comfortable enough for them to do so.

Overall, I have no complaints about this product and all and absolutely love it!! I def encourage all of you to give it a try. It is well worth the money and they've had plenty of high value coupons for this product in the local paper coupon inserts recently. How fab is that!!

**Disclaimer: Influenster sent me this complimentary package. I am not a paid affiliate of this company or any brands mentioned therein. Any views and opinions expressed are honest and my own.**

{Love This} Layout

Hey Everyone!!

I hope you all are having a fabulous day! Today I'm here sharing a layout with all of you that I've had done FOREVER, but I was so very unsuccessful in getting a fabulous photo of it. Finally a few days ago, before all the snow and cold weather made another appearance, we had a beautiful day that I totally took advantage for some photo taking!

I just LOVE how this layout came out. I'm "practicing" on creating more layers on my layouts. I love the look, but I have not always been successful at making a layout flow well when using lots of layers, so I've been taking the time to really make sure that all the layers flow well together. Youtube has been my best friend, as I watch so many talented ladies that share their tips, tricks and process videos. Watching those videos have really helped me expand my creativity, and I'm so thankful for that. It's always been bottled up, but unleashing it has been a challenge for me.

I am also going to enter this into the Scraptastic Kit Club challenge using your embellishments in 3's. There are 3 layers, 3 sequins, a cluster of 3 embellishments. I used 3 and didn't even think about using 3's. I loved that they had this challenge up, and when I was going to post this layout, it dawned on me that I did things in 3's. {LOVE}!

For this layout I used the following products:

Paper - Teresa Collins & various scraps
Embellishements - Paper Issues
Alpha Letters - Basic Grey
Color Shine - Heidi Swapp

The hounds tooth black and white tissue paper is from the Paper Issues packaging that they used to send their doggy bag embellishment kits in.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a scrap happy day!

Hello Spring {Timeless Twine DT Day}

Hey Everyone!!

Well, Spring is upon us, however, I am NOT feeling the snowy cold days that have brought snow with them. That is not my idea of spring. So, I decided to create a fun spring card that was sure to bring some spring joy to my life {lol}.

I am on a super huge stitch on paper kick! I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! For the butterfly, I cut out a butterfly on my cameo using the Scraptastical Kreations KISS Spring Set, and lightly traced around it with a pencil. I then used one of my American Craft stitching stencils to judge the placement of the holes. I untwisted the twine and used one of each color, so that it was a "thinner", as I didn't want it to be too thick. And, I also put a bit of watercolor on the edge and added dimensional dots to give it some dimension. I really love how these butterflies came out. They were def the perfect touch of spring I needed!

I used the following products to create this card.

SALE - Purple Passion Bakers Twine by Timeless Twine - 1 Spool (160 Yards) Purple Bakers Twine

Lemonade Yellow Bakers Twine by Timeless Twine

Sweet as Spring {Timeless Twine DT Day}

Hey Everyone!

It's DT day at Timeless Twine today and I'm sharing a sweet spring layout with all of you. This month's theme is "spring", so I decided to take that opportunity and create a fun "girly" type layout. I don't get to scrap girly stuff much, so I grabbed this photo of my dad and my niece and went for it!

For this layout, I used the Lemonade Yellow to create the rays of sun. Then I cut out some pieces of patterned paper to put on the inside of the rays. Added some watercolors, a few embellishments and a title, and bam... a super simple layout! I really love the twine sun rays. I think they really add a great look to this layout, but I do wish I would have added one more ray on each side. Sometimes, though, you don't realize how something really looks until you take a photo of it and look at it from a different perspective. Ahh well... I still love this layout either way.

TImeless Twine & Lawn Fawn Cross Promo!!

Hey Everyone!!

Hope all is well with everyone! Today I'm sharing some awesome projects with all of you for the Timeless Twine and Lawn Fawn Cross Promo! How fun is that?!?! Both companies have some AMAZING products AND they coordinate so well together!!

So, let's go ahead and take a peek!

For this card I took the insta camera from the new Lawn Fawn #awesome set and created a background paper on plain white cardstock. I stitched around the border of the pink patterned paper with Timeless Twine Simply white, and then I stamped out the "I'll follow you anytime" and cut the word into single strips, added some patterned paper and adhered them to the card. All the patterned paper is from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine stack. Caaaaute!!!

For this card I used some Aqua Timeless Bakers Twine, the #awesome Lawn Fawn stamp set, and the Hello Sunshine paper stack by Lawn Fawn. I used the frame from the #awesome set and added a piece of the patterned cardstock behind the frame. I fussy cut the frame out (outside and the middle) and stamped the awesome on some white cardstock, which I then adhered on top of a die cut banner. I punched a half circle and hand wrote the words "you are", wrapped my twine around and tada... simple, fast and #awesome.

Here are the products I used:
