Happy Birthday {TT DT Day}

Hey Everyone!!

I hope your week is starting off well. I'm so happy to be able to get back to "normal" again. I was sick all last week, and although I still have a bit of the cold lingering, the sinus infection that had me on the couch for 4 days straight is pretty much cleared up. Thank goodness!

Today I am sharing a fun and quick birthday gift with all of you. Today is my son's girlfriend's birthday, so I thought I would put together a little mini book/album/notebook type thing. The original file was a Christmas list book from the Silhouette store, but I switched it around some to fit my needs.

So, here is my mini book gift

For this I used the kraft bags from Bella Creationz to package the mini book in and I used the Kraft Brown Timeless Bakers twine as well. I think both the kraft bag and the twine are perfect for this mini. I also used the new Heidi Swapp paper collection.

You can find the links to the Bella Creationz and Timeless Bakers Twine products below.

{Bella Creations DT Day} - Hey Valentine!!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all are having a great week so far! Today is my Timeless Twine/Bella Creationz DT day and I'm here to share some fun Valentine projects with you. Valentine's is quickly upon us (It's Friday!!) and I know I'm a pro-craftinator and always wait until the last minute to throw those V-day treats together. So, I'm sharing a few quick and easy ideas with you today that should help with those last minute v-days gifts/treats.

First, I have this super cute Valentine box. For this box, I broke the binding on the box and whipped out the {old school} Quickutz Dies. I placed the die on the front panel and ran it through my Big Shot and I did the same on the back panel as well. I then cut five 1 and 3/8 in panels to cover the top and four sides. I took two of the panels and ran them through the Big Shot with the same die as I cut the panel out with, then I adhered the panels to the outside of the box. I flipped the box over and put some Scor-tape along the edges of the heart on the front and back panel, cut a TON of twine into short strips, and then placed the twine across the heart. The front and back panel both have a twine heart. You can then place a Bath & Body Works mini candle in there, some candy, or some jewelry and then wrap some more twine around and tie it in a bow, or you can add a big fluff of twine on the time like in the picture below.

Next, I have this super fun treat bag. I took the kraft bags from Bella Creations and stamped random heart images all over the bag. I also used the clear candy treat bags and loaded them with some yummy Valentine colored Sixlets and filled the other one with two pencils. I cut a tag out on my Silhouette using a Scraptastical Kreations SVG file, and I did a print and cut as well. I typed the sentiment out in my Silhouette program and then printed it then cut it out. I then adhered it to the background, punched two holes, and pulled some Timeless Twine Graphite Gray through one hole, wrapped it around the bag and pulled it through the other hole and tied a bow. Easy peasy!

PS - It does say "Hey Valentine!", but the twine was being uncooperative!

Here are the items I used for my projects today.
You can find all of these items over at Bella Creationz

My First Snowman

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!!

Well, as usual we're gearing up for yet ANOTHER winter storm here in the midwest. We're expecting another 2-6 inches of snow. I'm not quite sure where it is going to go when they plow... there is just WAY too much! I don't think I have EVER seen this much snow in my lifetime. Seriously! So, that leads me to share a "winter" themed layout with all of you today.

Here is a layout of my oldest, that is now 16, when he was approximately 2. Can you tell I'm quite behind in my scrapping?? This was his first snowman, and I think it was the first REAL accumulation of snow we had since he was born. But, look at it out there today. You can go out and make a gazillion snowmen and still have tons of snow left, lol.

I chose to dig in my stash for this layout and use up some very OLD supplies, well a few old supplies. The red snowflake paper is at least 5 years old! I am such a paper hoarder, but I'm changing that this year! I just purged a whole jet max cube of patterned paper that I will never use.

For this layout I used the following:
Echo Park Paper
Crate Paper
Misc Patterned Paper (old stash)
Basic Grey Embellishments
Timeless Twine - Firecracker
Bella Creationz - White Bags
Studio G - Bling Snowflakes
American Crafts Precision Pen
Rangers Dylusions Mist Sprays
SVG Cutting File from Scraptastical Kreations
Recollections Stamp Set

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a peek at my layout. I hope you all have a scrap happy day! : )
