My One & Only

It's Hump Day. Yay!! Half way through the week. Woot!! Another week is almost gone - time sure does fly when you're having fun {or not} - it still flies!! Today I'm here to share a layout with all of you. I've been trying REALLY hard to get more layouts down. Sometimes I can find the time, and others, not so much. But, today I'm excited to share this one with all of you.

Here it is
"My One and Only"

This is My Love, My One & Only, and my always & forever! He always complains that he "never" gets a layout of his own {he's so full of it!! He has TONS, he just don't pay attention (typical man), most of the time}. I ADORE this photo of him. Getting a photo of him is as bad as trying to get one of my 14 year old son, so getting a GREAT photo like this is priceless to me.

The corners of this layout, don't laugh, but I used the end of a wooden ruler I had and inked it to get that cool affect. I was going out of my comfort zone and trying to add lots of layers (I need lots more practice), and use other elements that I wouldn't normally use in my scrapping. I have to say... I LOVE it!!!

Supplies Used.
Cardstock - Michael's Kraft
Patterned Paper - Echo Park
Timeless Twine - Kraft Brown
Stickers - Echo Park
Pen - American Crafts Precision Pen (black)
Ink - Stazon

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope I've inpsired you in some way.

As Always,

Happy Scrappin!

Lucky Me Twinetastic Tuesday!!

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!! I hope your week is off to a great start! I'm here today sharing this fun St. Patty's day card with all of you.

I really cannot believe how quickly this month has gone by, and furthermore, how quickly this year is already going! The only good thing about how quickly it is flying is that spring is approaching. I'm SO ready for some warmer temps here!! Although, it's snowing at the moment. Boo....

Here's my card

For this I used the Olive Green Timeless Twine, a white gel pen for doodling and the SVG's are from Scraptastical Kreations. I wrapped the twine around the scalloped square base (the white), and then applied the top base or the shamrock on top. It gives it a great touch and lots of dimension as well. Add a bit of doodling to give it that extra kick and you're good to go.

Supplies Used:
Paper - Paper Studio Black & White Cardstock. Coredinations - green cardstock
Silhouette Cameo

Thanks for taking a peek today and I hope you all have a fabulous week!

Happy Scrappin',

Take a Moment for Yourself

Yay!! It's Thursday!! I'm SO ready for the weekend!! I need some time to unwind from all of this week's happenings. It's been busy and eventful!!

Oh... Happy Valentine's day to all of my fabulous crafty friends. Today I'm sharing a non-Valentine, but still a Valentine card with all of you today. Sometimes we just need to know that it's "ok" to take time for ourselves. We all, too often, get wrapped up in all of the days happenings, that we sometimes forget to take a moment for ourselves, and although this is not your traditional Valentine's card, this is the prefect Valentine's card to remind someone you love or care about to take a moment for their self.

Recipe
Cardstock - Kraft (Micheal's) Patterned Kraft (Paper Studio)
Stamps - Unity Stamp Co.

Misc. Button

I'm also entering this card into the Use it Tuesday Challenge, which is to use fastners.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope your visit here today has inspired you in some way.

Nerdy Kind of Swag

It's Hump Day. YAY!!! I'm so happy to be half way through the week. It's been a rough start to this week, and I'm hoping for a better ending than it was a beginning. But, on the bright side - I did manage to get two days of scrappy time in. It was a much needed therapy session, that's for sure!!

Today I wanted to share this fun layout with all of you. This is my son last year for spirit week and it was "nerd day". I have to say... he was the cutest darn nerd I'd ever seen (ok, I know, I know, I'm a bit biased). I'm sure you're all wondering why I have pink on a boy's layout, right? Well, he wore a pink shirt and green suspenders. I don't get to use pink on a boy's layout often, but when I can get away with it and it works, I LOVE it!!! Plus... he likes pink!

I will also be entering this layout into the "About a Boy Scrapbook Challenge". I'm SO excited to finally see a challenge blog for ALL about boys!! With having two boys, it's sometimes hard to fit boys into the flowery and girly sketches and/or colors, so this is perfect for me!

I used these two files from my store, Scraptastical Kreations
